MADRESSAS & DA’WAH (Islamic education and invitation) Even though Mustadafin Foundation sees itself as a humanitarian organization it is actively involve in activities promoting Islamic values and ethos and currently run three Jamat Ghanas, where Islamic activities are implemented. The Foundation also hosts a number of Islamic Camps for Youth, which are meant to espouse the values of Quran and Sunnah. Not only is the focus on youth but adult education is also provided for. The Foundation serves the broader community of the poor without exception to religion, race or political orientation. Mustadafin is a servant of the poor and seeks to carry out its services with the compassion and respect for human dignity that Islam endorses. To teach through example is the best way to teach righteousness. MADRASSAH (ISLAMIC SCHOOL) Daily activities: Mustadafin Foundation runs two madrassah classes at its Jammat Khanas in Delft and Khayalitsha from Monday to Thursday from 3pm to 5pm during the school term. About 40 youth between the ages of 7-19 are registered to attend these classes, however about 20 youth attend on a daily basis. In class the youth learn basic Islamic fundamentals as well as learn about Quran and Sunnah of the last prophet; Muhammad (Peace be upon him). The classes are taught by qualified Sheikhs, namely Ismail Ndlovu and Abubakr Bakali, who hail from a deeply studious background in Islamic studies, having completed their studies in Sudan and Malawi respectively.
